Stacked Saturday: 5-Ingredient Protein Pancakes

5 ingredients, 5 minutes, and a wicked strawberry banana flavor! How easy is that on a Saturday morning?

I’m sorry I missed a Fishy Friday post yesterday, but I think it’s time we retire that category of the blog soon, yes?

I feel like I’m not putting as much effort into my Friday posts because they’re not really my recipes and I can’t really vouch for their results. It’s so easy to take someone else’s fabulous flavor combinations and share them with you, but I’d rather put more time and effort into a blog post that I believe will benefit everyone else. I’m sure I helped some people out with what to make for dinner on any given night, but this blog is more than just delicious seafood recipes.

Don’t get me wrong, I love posting recipes for you but I think I should cut it down a bit. After all, this isn’t a food blog. I wish it was!!! Unfortunately, I don’t have the time or money to start that right now. Maybe someday! 🙂 For now, I’ll stay true to the meaning of this blog and continue with wellness posts and my life as a dancer.

Sound good? 🙂
Okay!

Back to pancakes, something that will definitely NOT change on the blog!

These pancakes include 5 ingredients and about 5 minutes of your time. After a sweaty flow yoga class, these were EXACTLY what I needed to whip up.

I hope you enjoy them! 🙂

5-Ingredient Protein Pancakes
(Adapted from Live and Diet)

  • Serves: 1
  • Prep Time: 2 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 7 minutes

Ingredients:
1 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice
1/2 a ripe banana
1 large egg
5 small strawberries, sliced
1 tsp peanut butter (or any other nut butter of choice)

Directions:

  1. Preheat a nonstick griddle or pan to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whip up everything together until the batter has a few light lumps in it. Or feel free to use a hand blender for a thinner batter. Alternatively, you can use the peanut butter for the topping!
  3. Pour about 2 tbsp. each of batter onto the skillet and cook about 2 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface of the pancakes. Flip, and cook another minute. Repeat until all batter is gone.
  4. ENJOY! 🙂
