Good morning beautiful people! <3
Hope your Tuesday is off to a terrific start!
I’m a little sore after Day 1 of the intensive, but it’s so good to be back!

“Surround yourself with the people who make you better, and you will have better outcomes.” – Unknown
I’ve talked about removing negativity/stress many times here on the blog, (read here, here, here, and here) but each time I feel like there’s still so much to talk about. That’s right, it’s How-To Tuesday!
Time to get therapeutic and unleash my inner counselor (thanks Mom)! But hey I love helping and listening to people, so this is for YOU. 🙂
Do you ever have moments in your life that feel like you’re flying so high but your mindset is still so low? Are you scared of things becoming “too good” because somehow the good would heart-breakingly fall away?
“This isn’t supposed to happen to people like me.”
“Maybe I did something wrong, I don’t deserve this.”
“It’s just a phase. I’m not good enough.”
How do you know when negative energy needs to be cleared? You probably have a sense something is off:
- Conversations leave you feeling confused or exhausted.
- You keep hearing backhanded compliments or criticism.
- You feel wrong for being yourself or speaking your mind.
- There’s lots of complaining, but no desire for help or change.
There are many more signs, but generally, life feels smaller, less vibrant and less full of opportunity when you get deeply involved in a negative dynamic.
Here’s what you can do to combat it:
1. Make awareness a big deal.
Once you see what’s happening, you can change it, even if it’s challenging. Acknowledge yourself for trying to make positive changes in your life, rather than continuing to be a victim of it.
2. Ignore the haters.
Don’t to try to reason with haters. You’ll end up wasting your valuable time, because they’re not worth it.
3. De-clutter your life of as many of these people and situations as you can.
Life is short. Don’t waste it with negative people who don’t appreciate you. Keep them in your heart, but keep them out of your life!
4. Build up your own radiant energy.
When you’re stronger, you’re more resilient! Maybe clean your house. Eat more plants. Lay in the sun. Get into self-love. You’ll know when you’ve succeeded in your negative energy “detox” when life is brighter, you’re happier, and more energetic. You’ll sleep more soundly and will have so much more free time.
A side benefit of de-cluttering life in this way: you might inspire some people around you to detox their own negativity and thrive with you! 🙂
