Good morning, and Happy Mother’s Day to every mother out there. 🙂
Today we celebrate motherhood, and show our appreciation to mothers and mother figures: grandmothers, current mothers, soon-to-be-mothers, foster mothers, mother-in-laws, and so on.
This post and the following poem is dedicated to my wonderful mom who raised me to become the woman I am today. Thank you for everything you have done for me.
My Mother’s Love
I was 10 days late, but you held on tight,
You made sure to sing to me and kiss me goodnight.
“Please” and “thank you” and “how do you do”,
were some of the manners you saw me through.
You taught me to pray and love with all my heart,
Something morbid like death could never keep us apart.
For my mother’s love comes from a heart of pure gold,
It’s strong, sweet, and never gets old.
Sometimes I don’t listen, sometimes I might ignore
But I know you want the best for me, to always push for more.
I love you Mom for everything you’ve are,
You’re always in my heart whether here, near, or far.
Thank you for giving me a life so happy, wonderful, and true,
Happy Mother’s Day, beautiful mom, THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!
I’m convinced being a mother is one of the hardest and most underappreciated jobs, so be sure to thank your momma and tell her you love her. 🙂
Have a beautiful day! <3
XOXO
