Goooooood morning everyone!! 🙂
Since it’s Thursday, I would just like to throw it back to a few weeks ago when my cousin got married to show you this gorgeousness…
LOOK AT THAT.
…..okay, I’m done. Onto the deep stuff.
If I were to ask you what makes you happy, you would probably have no problem providing me with a few answers — a new car, less body fat, better-paying job, and so on. Answers to this question usually revolve around the theme of our happiness depending on external circumstances. Now I’m not here to lecture, but I think materialistic things rarely determine long-term happiness. If you’re confused about the title of today’s post, don’t be! I really want to know what little things in life make us happy, and how we can use those things to battle feelings of stress and sadness.
I’m guilty of this all the time; when something looks bleak, I usually mope about it for awhile and where does it get me?! Nowhere. Okay, okay, we can’t be happy all the time, I know, but we can at least try!
Maybe happiness for you is:
- A loved one/pet
Whatever it is, it’s those little things in life that really matter. For me, happiness is when a stranger smiles at me on the street. Or those cozy mornings when the sun is just coming up. Or receiving a text from someone you miss terribly.
So here’s my deep philosophical thought for you today:
Happiness is just a thing called……
Tell me in the comments below! I love hearing about other people’s lives, especially the happy things. This is something I need to continue working on; I want to be the glass-half-full kind of person!
Have a thrilling Thursday 🙂
