Link-Love Saturday #5: Peanut Butter Fingers

How’s your Saturday so far? 🙂 I’m soooo happy it’s the weekend; a much-needed time for rest and relaxation with the roommates and some self-exploration in the dance studio.

My morning began with some protein pancakes that were way too ugly to photograph, but they were delicious either way!! I’m ready to take on the day! And man, it’s gonna be a hot one….

But, without further ado, here’s your “Link-Love Saturday” post of the week! Today I’d like to introduce you to a blog that serves as a constant source of inspiration for my own blog every day. Her blog is actually the reason I started these “Link-Love Saturdays”.

(If you don’t know what I mean, check out her “Things I’m Loving Friday” posts). They’re an awesome way to start the weekend!

She is fun, healthy, and has an adorable dog named Sadie who I really want to be best friends with…Vizslas are so happy-looking!

Blogger Julie is also a writer, group-fitness instructor, and personal trainer whose blog follows her daily life activities, fueled by (mostly) healthy food, travel, fitness, and fun. She is currently moving to Charlotte, NC with her husband Ryan and their awesome-looking dog, Sadie. You may think I’m weird for knowing all of this, but Julie’s blog is centered more around her lifestyle than your typical healthy recipe blog, although she does have some yummy-looking dishes on her recipe page. Most of them are healthy, but the non-healthy ones remind me that we all need a little room for indulgence in life, yes? 🙂

When I first visited Julie’s blog, I thought, ‘why the name Peanut Butter Fingers? What does that have to do with a healthy life?’ Julie explains, “Ryan was actually the one who came up with the name of my blog. He was always catching me in the kitchen with my finger in the peanut butter jar and said I was the queen of peanut butter fingers. When he suggested ‘Peanut Butter Fingers’ as the name of my blog, I was instantly smitten”.

That sounded pretty cool to me! 🙂

Another reason I was attracted to Julie’s blog was her similar love of a BALANCED lifestyle in terms of food and fitness. Her workouts page is a staple in my fitness routine because there are so many options to choose from!

No matter what your workout poison is, Julie’s got you covered! The treadmill workout below is one of my favorites. It really packs a punch and it flies by! Always a bonus.

Before starting “A Dancer’s Live-It”, I was a little overwhelmed. I stumbled upon Julie’s blogging question page, which explains everything you need to know about starting your own blog, increasing blog readership, and even blogger safety. So important! Her information was incredibly helpful for me, as I appreciate when other successful bloggers share tips and tricks for newbies. Julie is a big advocate for blogging about something you would want to read about, and this boosted my confidence for starting my blog and the philosophy behind it. There’s gotta be someone out there who loves oatmeal as much as I do, right? 😉
