Helllooooo, happy Monday party people! 🙂

I hope you all had a nice weekend filled with love, happiness, and sunshine!
It’s been so hot out, but I’m not even going to complain after the winter we had…
Can we just talk about the dessert I made for my mom yesterday? Thank you Sally of Sally’s Baking Addiction for the incredible recipe!
For the recipe, go —–> HERE. You won’t regret it!
Speaking of regret, the other day I stumbled on an article about a journalist who gave up her $95,000 job in New York to move to the Caribbean. She had no regrets whatsoever about this decision.
“Perhaps there was something indulgent and Peter Pan-ish about this new lifestyle. But the truth is, I was happier scooping mint chocolate chip for $10 an hour than I was making almost six figures at my previous corporate job”.
I couldn’t help but smile when I read this.
It gives me so much hope to know that there are still people in this world who are brave enough to drop their stability and wealth to benefit their overall wellbeing. In terms of expenses, the journalist said, “you might not need as much as you think”.
I’m a firm believer in the idea that you should do whatever makes you happy. For example, I could’ve chosen to go to college for a career that is stable and would make a lot of money, but would I be happy?
Probably not.
Instead, I chose to pursue my love for dance and take a trip into the unknown. The outlook on my career choice post-graduation is certainly unpredictable, but I’m okay with that! I won’t be making much, but I’m happy doing what I love. Sure, money is good for security and comfort, but at the end of the day, it’s not the be-all-end-all of life. Relying too much on money makes us greedy and constantly unsatisfied.
So, wealth or wellbeing?
It’s your life.
Have a marvelous Monday! <3
XOXO
