Another Julie/Julia Project?

Hello hello!!

Good morning and happy Friday!:)

I can’t help but smile still at the thought of the Chocolate-Covered Katie Cookbook in my possession.

I mean, wouldn’t you?:)

It’s currently the #1 best seller in chocolate baking.

And the desserts are healthy. And delicious. And vegan, if that matters to you.

SO JUMP FOR JOY!

If you’ve ever seen the movie “Julie & Julia“, then you know what the title of this post is about. The movie tells the true stories of how Julia Child’s (Meryl Streep) life and cookbook inspired writer Julie Powell (Amy Adams) to whip up 524 recipes in 365 days. And, ya know, inspire people with Julia’s masterful French cooking.

So, that being said, should I try it too?

I remember the first time I watched the movie in the theater. My cousin and I went home and attempted to bake/cook everything we possibly could at 12:00AM. We had never heard of Julia Child, but we were amazed at what Julie Powell had to cook!

Katie Higgins’s book is on a MUCH smaller and attainable scale.
With only 80 fabulous recipes, do you think I should give it a go? This wouldn’t be able to happen until I go back to school, because then I’d have 80 consecutive days ahead of me. Yeah, one recipe per day.

I could be that girl in my new apartment building; the baking queen who gives her desserts away to win the affection of the others!
But that’s not why I would do it. I just really love to bake!

I’m pretty sure I’ll have enough desserts to give out to everyone.
And maybe one recipe per day might be a little difficult to crank out at this point in my college career, but I definitely could see myself doing this!

Recipe #1 is called “Chocolate Pixie Cookies”…….should I do it?

I’d love to hear your thoughts below 🙂

Have a beautiful day and be well!❤
