I know what you’re thinking….what happened to her?!
I promise this bowl is just as good!
Hello everyone!!
You made it to FRIDAYYYY!
If you’re feeling stressed, his bowl is for those mornings where you just want something quick without waiting for a stove or an oven.
Don’t worry oats, you’re still my first breakfast love. But the other day I felt like eating some wheat crunch….it has nothing to do with you, okay?
In all honesty, this bowl is actually pretty good.
What’s wheat crunch you might ask?
It’s actually Grape Nuts cereal, but the Wegmans brand calls it “Wheat Crunch” Cereal
Yay for saving money!
Anyway, this takes about 2 minutes to whip together and you can use any type of fruit you want! I just love the soft blueberries with the crunchiness of the cereal!
What about that stuff in the middle?
That, my friends, is Greek yogurt mixed with protein powder and peanut butter. Doesn’t get any better than that! If you don’t have protein powder, don’t worry. You can leave it out and add a 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract, a little maple syrup or Stevia, or more peanut butter! Why not?!
HEALTHY FATS.
Wheat Crunch Breakfast Bowl
- Serves: 1
- Total Time: 3 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk of choice (I used unsweetened Vanilla Almond)
1/3 cup Wheat Crunch cereal/Grape Nuts (shown above)
2 tbsp. plain, nonfat Greek yogurt
1/2 tbsp. vanilla protein powder (optional, but protein content will decrease)
1/2 tbsp. peanut butter
1/4 cup blueberries, or berry of choice
Directions:
- In a cereal bowl, heat the 1/2 cup of milk for 1 minute, or until it’s pretty hot, but not boiling.
- Meanwhile, mix the Greek yogurt, protein powder, and peanut butter in a small glass. Set aside.
- Now pour the cereal in the hot milk and let it stand for about 30 seconds. Top it with the Greek yogurt mixture and pour the blueberries over everything. Dig in!
- ENJOY!
Have a fantastic Friday!!❤
BE WELL.
